How to follow a post: People tend to follow a post by replying with “Following”, “F” or just a period when they find a post that they are interested in. These replies tend to clutter the original topic and alert other users a reply has been posted, having them find only the following post instead of a real reply.

To follow a post the easy way without bothering others or cluttering a post is to click on the 3 dots on the top of the post and select “Turn on notifications for this post”. If it is a shared post, you might need to click on “More Options” to display this option.
When you no longer want to receive notifications, simply click again on the 3 dots on the top right of the post and select “Turn off notifications for this post”.
