Basic Requirements to Apply for Malaysia work visa

The procedure that is required by anybody who wants to apply for a Malaysian work visa is different depending on the kind of occupation and employment duration.

You are required to possess all the requirements for you to work in your desired position in this country and this requirement includes a Diploma and Diplomas and other requirements for you to pass their employment pass. 

As a foreigner who is working in the country your minimum allocation should be RM3,000 and the maximum allocation should be RM10,000 for each month but this may vary in different employment categories.

When it comes to Temporary Employment Pass certain restrictions follow and you must pass this restriction depending on your age, nationality, etc. Real examples of their restriction include foreigners who must be between the ages of 18 and 45 of age.

He or she must fall into the listed country that is accepted by the Malaysian country. Moreover, women who are interested in working in the country as a foreign domestic helper must be between the ages of 21 and 45.

Those who are visiting Malaysia for a holiday and may decide to work can apply for a Professional Visit Pass which may allow them to work for a short interval for a non-Malaysian company. 

The list of professions eligible for the work visa includes international artists, firm workers, religious workers, government workers, students undergoing training, guest lecturers and volunteers, etc. can apply for this work visa.

Procedure to Apply for work visa in Malaysia

Once you want to work with a Malaysian company you are not responsible for applying for a work visa. The company has to apply with Malaysia’s immigration department to apply for your work visa. When the application for your work visa is approved by the Malaysia Immigration Department the foreigner can proceed with applying for the work visa about the visa required by nationals.

Can you bring your family members with you if you have a Malaysian work visa?

For you to be qualified to bring your family members along with you to Malaysia you must have Employment Passes. However, those with EP can bring their spouse and their children within the age of 21 of age using a Malaysia Dependent’s Pass.

As long as you are also an EP Holder you can bring in your children above the age of 21 either biological or adopted child and your wife using a Long Term Social Visit Pass.
